The Elected are comprised of band members from Rilo Kiley, Ozma, and Reel Big Fish (and other changing members). I guess most notably though, the band is fronted by Blake Sennett from Rilo Kiley. This song features vocals from Eisley's Stacy DuPree and has such a relaxing quality to it. When played live though, Mike Bloom provides the "bom, bom bom bom, bom" parts.

Although Neutral Milk Hotel are on "hiatus", their music still inspires. Last week at SXSW, Eisley (just Sherri and Stacy) played an acoustic cover of "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" on The Dermot O'Leary Show. Eisley normally don't play covers at shows or record them, so this was a big surprise.

This song hasn't officially been released by Eisley (yet), but it has been played live a couple of times at shows. Two members (Luke Pettipoole and Scott Yoshimura) of The Envy Corps recorded a cover of "Lady of the Wood" back in 2004 under the pseudonym The Greed Armada. It's considered to be a rough mix (v0.8 to be exact), but sounds good enough to be a final version.
